Sewing tutorial! an knotted headband!
I love sewing and creating my own accessories. Recently, I made a knotted headband using some colorful fabric I had lying around. It's such a fun and fashionable way to keep my hair out of my face while adding a touch of style to my outfit. I love how versatile it is and how it can be customized to match any look. Sewing has definitely become my go-to hobby for adding a personal touch to my wardrobe!

Sewing a knotted headband can be a relatively easy project, even for beginners. With basic
sewing skills and a sewing machine, you can create a stylish accessory in no time.
What did i need for this pattern?
50 x 50cm amount of cotton fabric, I used the following:
20 cm elastic, i use the following
Basic sewing supplies like an sewing machine, needle, thread, scissors, etc
1. Cut 5 pieces of fabric: 4 rectangles of 8 x 50 cm and 1 rectangle of 8 x 40 cm. Also, cut a piece of elastic measuring 20 cm.
2. Take the 40 cm fabric piece and sew it into a tube using a straight stitch. Turn it right side out. Attach the elastic to the inside of the tube, similar to a scrunchie. Pin the elastic to ensure it doesn't slip away and set it aside.
3. Take two 50 cm rectangle pieces and fold them into tubes. Fold one corner of each tube towards the folded side to create a sqaure, cut the loose saquare away to get an pointed side. Repeat with the second rectangular piece.
4. Take one not-pointy rectangular piece and place it right side up in front of you. Place one of the pointy rectangular pieces right side down on top of it. Sew around the edges, leaving the short not-pointy side open. Trim excess fabric and turn the piece right side out. Repeat with the other fabric pieces.
5. Now, take the elastic scrunchie lookalike piece. Take the not sewn shut side of the fabric from the pointy rectangle pieces and fold the edges to the inside. Tuck a portion of the elastic scrunchie lookalike piece in between and sew it shut using a zigzag stitch. Repeat on the other side.
6. And you're done! You have successfully sewn your knotted headband.
Remember to use your own creativity and style to personalize your headband. Enjoy wearing your handmade accessory!
